Default Calves

I've read that for most people calves are very difficult to grow, and that is certainly the case for me. In six years of training them I think I've put MAYBE 2" on them.

Right now I train them once a week with quads. Could I work them more often?

Yes train them more if you want. I see a lot of people that do them on Monday and again on Friday. Want them to grow? Try this:

Get something like 1 inch to two inches high, and put your feet up on it and hold onto some fuckin heavy dumbbells or put some big weight on the barbell and do calve raises. 12 - 15 reps. Get intense!!

We have five calf machines in my 24Hour Fitness. I usually start off with sitdown squats on a plate machine and mix in calf work. Then I move to a plate stack sitdown machine. After that I go to yet another sitdown machine that I hang 45lb wheels on. I can barely walk after all that lol.

I'll do calves twice weekly from now on. Maybe with AP, PF and Prime they'll grow.

This works great. OR stand the same way as mentioned. And bend your torso forward. Then have a buddy sit on top of your back while torso is bent. Then do calve raises that way. It looks a little strange, but works damn well.

Actually we have six. We have three sitdown machines, two leg press machines and a standup calf machine.

Well I can't count. We have five dedicated calf machines. Funny we don't have ANY forearm machines, we have to use barbells and dumbbells.
