Default Asteroid Freak Workout

In case anyone has missed the Asteroid Stack Manual link on this site, direct access is here:

http://www.usplabsdirect.com/asteroi...tackmanual.pdf

I have been asked more than a few times lately what would be the best workout/exercises for mass/strength.

Renowned strength coach Jon Doyle has put together the Asteroid Freak workout, specifically designed to go along with the Asteroid Stack protocol for unparalleled size gains.
You can find this workout towards the end of the manual..

I have been training for many years, and long ago I pretty much ceased utilizing pre-made programs as I had discovered what worked for me, and what didn't. I stay within programs I have developed myself, or other formats that I have tweaked to my own liking.

Coming off my last format at the end of February this year, I was mulling Jon's program over, and it seemed to fit in well with my goal of adding some overall size. I was in need of something different..
So, I began this routine, hitting everything to a 'T' (utilizing shorter rest periods), upping my calories, in an effort to 'get bigger'..

I am nearing the beginning of the Month #2 portion of the program, and have been nothing short of uber-impressed with results to this point..even more exciting: when talking with Jon, he explained that when the program shifts into this portion, this is when the supercompensatory effects upon muscle come into play (i.e. -- growth!); as the preceeding 2 weeks have been utilizing the 'overtraining principle', the rebound effects are set in motion for serious progress..

I am eagerly anticipating the rest of this plan.

And for anyone out to add some size to their entire frame, I am highly recommending following the Freak Workout!

Default Starting Monday

This program looks awesome. I'm starting on Monday.

I'll definitely do before and after pics and log my progress throughout.

I'm a lean skinny guy right now (6' - 175lbs) so results should be pretty good.

I also just started the stack.

I just got the manual yesterday and started the workout today. I do have a question though. For each set of 4 reps are you suppose to use the most weight possible for each set so you can just reach 4 reps and then drop the weight as your go through the 12 sets, or use a weight that you can get 4 reps for 12 sets and becomes difficult towards the end. I dont know if anyone understands what I'm asking. Also when would be a good day to add in some abs?

correct approach in bold. move up in weight when you can complete all 12 sets/reps prescribed.

when you see fit. i like doing them every 3rd day or so..
that being said -- direct ab work is not a necessary component of this program. with the volume/frequency of core exercises you will be doing, the abs will get plenty of work.
