Default Training Question

Hey whats up? this is my first post so here it goes..

I am a college athlete (baseball) and am currently lifting 3x a week. I'm taking Prime along with the usual protein creatine etc..
The baseball lifts are more of a full body workout so i was wondering if it would be ok to lift 2x a day 3x a week.
for example i'd go through the baseball full body workout then later on go back to really hit a major muscle group. Would i be susceptible to overtraining here?

Overtraining is a systematic process of overloading your body by doing too much in the way of volume and/or frequency. You can Google 'overtraining symptoms' to see a complete list of what it is like to be in an overtrained state.

For me, overtraining is doing more than required for optimal progress.

Ok, now that we have that out of the way, you will not know until you actually try the workouts out. One 'smoking gun' of doing too much is unable to progress with strength gains. I do not know what is typical for you, but I at least add a few reps every week to everything. Even one rep is ok, as it shows the body is recovering from last time.

So, try it out and see. A few weeks would not hurt anything. Plus your on Prime, which is like a nuclear bomb in the arsenal of recovery. I love mine, and it lets me train more frequently and harder.

Good luck.

I would say you should go light on the baseball lifts and then heavier when you focus on a specific muscle group. Even with Prime you need to be careful though, lifting twice a day will really wear on you.

Prime will take your recovery to the next level..
it is well-suited for double-split routines..just remember, as a natural athlete, you can only do this so long before you get into o/t mode, assuming the intensity level is elevated in these sessions.

Thanks alot everyone!
I'll keep you updated on how its going.
Yesterday did a baseball lift followed by chest and tri's later on in the day. Woke up today with minimal soreness. I guess you were right in saying prime will take my recovery to the next level. Just started week 2 and strength has gone up significantly for such a short amount of time. Great stuff
