Default Matt Sahlfeld Powerlifting Training!

My name is Matt Sahlfeld and I am a powerlifter. I have been competing in the APF for about 2 years now. My best squat in the 242 weight class is 804. At 220 squat is 783, bench is 551, and deadlift is 666 and total is 2000. I previously trained at one of the best powerlifting gyms in the nation BIG IRON GYM in Omaha Nebraska coached by Rick Hussey.

Thought I would post up my training while using the Asteriod stack! Plan on hitting a meet the 29th of August in Omaha NE.

YouTube - Squat Training This was of my squat training on July the 3rd 2009.

Squat (raw)
135x10
135x6
225x6
225x4
315x2-3
315x1
405x failure (not absolute failure but as many reps as I can get for the day)
Briefs
495x2
Briefs and wraps
585x2
675x2
635x2

Then did some........
high bar goodmornings x5
Glute hams off an ab bench 1x12
weighted sit ups
hip machine
hamstring curl
thigh ext.
Leg press

Normally keep the assistance work simple with a single set and get through it fast since working in the briefs and suit saps your energy pretty quick.

Default 7-19-09 Bench Training

Had to Bench a day earlier since my spotters would not be there on Monday will have video posted tomorrow. I am having a wicked pain in my upper left arm that shoots clear down to my hand. Think it may have been from the bailout friday who knows hope it gets better soon!
