Im 32 years old and started lifting as a hobby at 22. On and off from lifting in the gym would best describe my journey. Id have 1 to 3 great months of lifting followed by about the same amount of time off. I think it was over training, causing me to burn out and making me want to rest or stay away from the gym. For years I worked at 2 major supplement, vitamin retail stores, and took advantage of my employee discount to "test" various products, as well as continue my progress towards my goals. My goals were pretty much the common simple holy grail of goals, amongst die hard gym rats; to add good, lean mass, burn fat, and become stronger. I did find some decent products out there, but the majority of them never even came close to what they promised. I also had a very cool advantage of being in a place where gym goers, would come in and dish the dirt on what they took, what worked and what did not. Well its been a while since ive worked in that line of business, im a mechanic now, and I work for the largest aerospace company in the world. Still though, ive been hitting the gym and staying current on the supplement industry. I really find it facsinating. Through some great marketing, I took notice of USP Labs in the magazines and found great interest. Well I did my homework and puchased the Asteroid stack. Now its safe to say that after an almost 2 year absence from the gym, I have my work cut out for me( yes, im still striving for that elusive mixture of advanced muscle gains, strength, and conditioning ).
Now here is where my big brother comes in. He is 36 yrs old, an all natural bodybuilding competitor for nearly 4 years. He's as strong as they get, pound for pound, easily one of the strongest anywhere he goes, and a will of tempered steel. To say the least, he is one impressive soul, and I am very much proud to be his brother. So this is where the friendly sibling competition comes in. Im 2 weeks into my Asteroid stack, and he has been taking me along to do his workouts. On virtually every lift, exercise, or whatever it may be, he beats me. I also need to mention the fact that I outwieght him by almost 140 lbs! If anyone is interested in stats, ill post, but yeah... Im pretty ashamed about mine- but ill do it! I started out at 298 lbs at 5'10. Within 6 days I reached 306.5! I was shocked to see the scale, and I was sure it was wrong. My wife had commented that only after 5 days I had started to look like I was trimming down.My body does respond well to everything, muscle memory comes back, sensitivity to supps, even the tiny amount of caffiene in diet cola keeps me up. Standing on that scale, it dawned on me that everything the Asteroid stack promised, and advertised was delivering. I am now a loyal USP LABS customer for life. Tommorow is saturday, and it's the last day of our workout week, dead lifts and upper chest. But already so much of my old strength has come back, that im giving my big bro a run for his money. And mind you, so far, out of the 8 other lifters who have tried to train with him before me, im the only one who has made it through 1 week. He's impressed by that alone. I know without a doubt, that if was not using the Asteroid stack while training under my brother, and his program, I too would have dropped out like the others. Yes, he does know what im taking, and he is going to reasearch to see if its on the banned list in his federation. I would love to see what he could do on the Asteroid stack! Hopefully people are interested on how this turns out. Id love to share the rest of my journey. Happy Halloween! |

I just finished week 2 this moring. Id thought id post 1st weeks lifts and week 2's lifts. Ok, week 1. flat bench 225 for six reps\ deadlifts 275 for 3 reps.\ my bro starts his split on mondays and thats the one day i did not make it, I started tuesday. This is what the split looks like- monday is quads, and shoulder presses, tuesday is chest and bi's, wednesday is hams and medial and rear delts, thursday is pull ups and rows and heavy triceps, friday is bi's and tri's
my favorite, saturdays is deadlifts and upper chest. It may seem like there would be alot of overlapping between muscles, but he is teaching alot how to isolate muscles. The following week we switch to dumbells and the next week vice versa. Ok, so week 2 I was allready up in wieght but looking slimmer. I know that sounds like an oxymoron, but for those taking the Asteroid stack, this is pretty much standard results. On deadlifts wk2 i pulled 315 3 times, inclined bench barbell 225 for 7 reps and 275 for 4 reps. My brother was tripping on how much stronger I got In one week. I need to find out if he can take USP LABS products and still compete in his federation. They have a banned list, and its very strict. We live up in Washington state and he competes in all the Natural shows. They polygraph and do urinalysis. Okay, I start week 3 this monday, November 2nd. |

Donkey kicks ( smith machine, rest on hands and knees on floor, like an up kick, raise the bar up with one leg. your foot should be close to the middle of bar. coming down, it looks like your kneeing someone in the midsection, if you were in side mount. ) Sounds complicated, and I give my bro props for inovation, and effort exerted, and for targeting a certain muscle group. Great new exercise.
Smith machine stiff leg deadlifts: 135x 20, 225x 9, 225x 9. Smithe machine reverse shrugs: 225x 10, 315x 10, 405x 4. Low incline bench rear lateral raises. 10x 15, 15x 15, 15x 14. Smith machine behind neck military press: 105x 20, 135x 15, 185x 6. One leg squats: body wieght only, 3 sets of 10 reps. Seated leg curls: 2 sets with 50lbs for 15 reps. Hiit cardio on treadmill for 10 minutes. |

Nautilus pull up assist machine- The bottom of the stack was 200lbs, so I started there and worked my way up the stack one plate for every subsequent set, all the way up to 110lbs. 20 reps all the way down to 2 reps the as the stack got lighter.
Cable pull downs- 250lbs for 6 reps. One arm rows with an olympic bar set into a corner- 35lbs x 15 reps, 55x 10, 75x 10. Nautilus plate loaded rows-180lbs x 20 reps, 360x 15, 450x7. Bent over dumbell rows with forehead resting on incline bench- 15x20, 30x 15, 30x 10. 10 minutes on step mill. ( pure torture ) ![]() |

Usually this is my favorite workout, but today I was just feeling a little tired.
Bench curls with barbell- superset with skull-crushers- Dips with bodywieght- Biceps curl machine- Close grip bench press- Run the rack dumbell curls- Cable curls superset with cable triceps pushdowns- I wont post reps and wieght, but I will mention that I was stronger on everything we did versus the 2 previous weeks. |

I am following this one bro. I know how hard it is to recomp, I am doing it now. As for the stepper being torture, you gotta trick your brain into thinking it is good for you and get up to doing 45 minutes! lol
Great job so far. |
