Default Nats write up

Alright, Im back, nationals is over. Heres the rundown-

First event-Tire flip. The tire ended up being 100 pounds lighter than expected, 600 instead of 700. Had 60 seconds to go 80 feet, I did it it 29 seconds.

Second event-230 log press for reps. I did all of mine in one motion to save time. I got 7, could have easily gotten 8 but I thought the time was up before it was so that cost me a rep. The winning number was 9 so I feel good about this one.

Third event-Load and drag medly. 230 keg, 240 sandbag and a 600 pound sled. I was movin fast on this one and won my group but not the event. Only one guy finished the whole thing.

Fourth event-700 yoke/250 farmers medly. The yoke was very light as well as the farmers. Didnt do as well as I would have liked but I didnt suck it up, still had a personal record time.

Fifth event-Stones 240-360. Buy this time I was quite tired and didnt have the placing that I wanted so I kinda lost motivation. Loaded three stones and almost busted my face cause the platforms were wet from rain. Hit my knee pretty hard and had blood running all down the from of my calf.

All in all I had a decent day. Only thing I would change or do better was the one drop I had on the farmers walk, dont really remember why I dropped it but It might have something to do with the pain in my left hand whenever I stretch it out now.

I took 10th overall. Travis Ortmayer helped my put it into perspective. Its my first nats, I havent even done 15 competitions yet and I have only been training to turn pro since january. There were 39, competitors so I beat more than beat me.

Now I leave to Arizona for a NAHA comp on friday then im off to Texas Strongest Man. The goal there is to set a new yoke record. Wish me luck.
