Default Help. First time user (nonbodybuilder) for losing weight.

I'm 32, 5'7, 205lbs. I am on the Atkins Diet, and after two months, I've managed to drop about 20 pounds. My goal is to go down to around 160lbs.

I'm not a body builder, but I do cardio at least three times a week.

I bought Anabolic Pump after the GNC rep recommended it as a supplement to the Atkins Diet.

After doing some reading, I notice that AP is not recommended for people on low carb diets.

The reason I'm writing is because I want this to work; I'm willing to make changes to my diet, etc. I don't lift weights because I have a bad knee and back.

I'm sure a good majority of the posters here are bodybuilders. Is there any advice for a person who wants to lose weight, use AP and not lift weights? How can I make AP work for me?

Sorry if this post isn't clear. Thanks in advance for any advice rendered.

sure, AP is very versatile..you can dose AP prior to meals containing 20-25g of carbs, turns into an incredible fat-loss aid.

I'm not bashing here, but there are plenty of high pressure compound weight lifting excercises you can do that dont touch your knee or back and still generate lots of muscle building fat burning hormones . I played baseball and had knee surgery 3 times and i still squat 400 pounds.

NO pain NO gain... Working out is still the healthiest and most beneficial thing you can do.

I say you start slow and train in a super set manner. Then you can quit that constant low carb diet, jump in to eating carbs 5 times a day.. and still lose fat at the same rate.

Trust me, there is nothing like eating pasta or rice along with grilled chicken after the gym! *Especially after taking AP,*

plus low carb = brain fog man!

Another question, when you guys first use anabolic pump, do you find yourself gaining weight first?

For me, I did up my carb count to about 20-30 carbs per meal, and I'm doing cardio.

I've gained five pounds this week. So, is that normal?

I wouldn't attribute that weight gain to just using AP..
while this is a wonderful product, bottom line is dietary intake will still shape the results you get while using this..you give limited information.
so, 20-30 carbs per meal..how many meals daily? what carbs are you using? what is your fat intake like? if you've been doing Atkins and are being generous with fat intake and now combining carbs, then yes it would stand to reason you would gain a few pounds. are you just adding 20-30 carbs per meal to your existing diet? if so, then figure you're adding @400-600 or more cals to your daily intake; again, of course you will gain weight..the distribution of the weight (i.e. more solid/less flabby) needs to be taken into consideration as well.
list your daily macro splits (C/P/F), and maybe a loose idea of the meals you consume.
