Do I have to eat complex carbs or are simple carbs ok? Why or why not?

You want the meals after Anabolic-Pump dosing to contain primarily complex carbohydrate. Please realize that consuming complex carbohydrate is more beneficial to body composition and health that simple carbohydrate, therefore it should but instituted while using a supplement such as Anabolic-Pump.

Is waxy maize considered a complex carb?

Waxy Maize Starch can be considered a complex carbohydrate source.

A small list of foods that have complex carbs?

Please see attached graph.

I would also like a dosing recommendation for myself, but I will wait on that until I get the other questions answered first. Thank you for your help, this will help me, my co-workers, and interested customers that come to my store.
Excellent stuff. Ask anything else you may have questions on.

Thanks!!!

i saw on your list that milk was included, but I remember reading somewhere in a book or magazine article that milk spikes insulin levels, which is good for post-workout, not so much other times. so is milk still a good source of carbs for a meal to use with AP?

Yes and no. I would not recommend getting 40-60g of carbohydrate from milk. It can be counted as a portion however.

Milk typically has a low glycemic load and the main carbohydrate source is Lactose.

Hi, I just ordered AP and I was thinking of how to best incorporate it into my diet. A uaual day for me is as follows:

6:15 am - breakfast shake:
2 scoops whey
1/2 cup oats
1 banana
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries

9:00 am - Fiber One bar

10:30 am - Zone Bar

12:30 pm - Lunch
Salad w/ mixed greens, veggies, and a protein source like chicken breast or tuna salad, etc

3:00 pm - Kashi Bar

4:45 pm - Protein shake w/ 2 scoops whey & 1/2 cup oats

7:00 pm workout

Post-workout shake:
2 scoops whey
1/2 cup oats
1 scoop ON Waxy maize starch

9 pm - Dinner
Lean meat w/ a veggie and conplex carb like brown rice

I was figuring that I would take 1 AP 15 mins before breakfast
1 before my 4:45 shake (maybe add more oats though?)
And 1 15 mins before my post workout shake

Does this sound like a good plan or should I add more carbs to my lunch meal and take 1 before lunch and eliminate the 1 at 4:45?

Thanks in advance.

As long as you are getting 40g of Complex Carbohydrate, you will be fine.

And 1 15 mins before my post workout shake

Check above notations. Look ok?

I would also drop some (if not all) of your 'health' bars throughout the day if possible. Small meals would be much better. Typically, 'health/protein' bars are borderline counterproductive for the goals in which you are attempting to procure.

Thanks a lot.

I know what you mean about the bars being not that healthy and small meals being more ideal to aviod all the simple sugars. Its just so easy to fit them in as quick snacks while I'm working and don't have much time to eat.

I'm going to look into some easy quick meals that I can eat on the go.

I f i know that im going to be on the run and im not going to be able to eat i will make protien muffins the night before. I jsut mix a scoop or whey, 1-2 egg whites, 1/4 cup of canned pumpkin, and 40 grams of oats, a little bit of water, a pack or 2 of spenda, and cinnamon and mix it up and either put it in muffins tins or a tiny loaf pan and bake it for about 20 mins. you can adjust the ingredience to suit your macros too for example when my fat is higher and carbs lower i use a whole egg or ad in some peanut butter and cut some of the oatmeal. they are just as easy to eat on the run as bars but dont have any of that extra stuff in them that you dont need or want and can be made to fit your macros perfectly. not to mention its a heck of alot cheaper
